How Romantic a Beach Wedding
A balmy cool breeze, a soft glowing sunset, the gentle sound of waves--what could be more romantic and a more perfect backdrop for your dream wedding than the beach? What can be more special for the most important day of your life than the perfect setting? Sand and sun and sea all combine to add excitement and fun.Picture Hawaii or the Caribbean or Laguna Beach. You might jet off to some exotic location where you can combine your wedding with your honeymoon, or maybe the beach is just across the street where you’ve spent your summers splashing in the waves.
The beach is such a fun theme for a wedding when it comes to choosing the invitations and favors and music and attire and everything else that goes with a wedding. There is nothing better than being photographed outside with natural light and your wedding photos will be stunning.A beach wedding can be pulled of without a hitch, but it will take some planning. First of all, as with any outdoor venue, weather is an important factor. When are the rainy seasons, how windy is the location, what time of day is best so you don’t treat your guests to sunstroke? Is shade and shelter available or do you have to construct some type of canopy or tent? These are some of the things you need to consider.
Sand is fun to wiggle between your toes and build sand castles, but not so great for a big formal ceremony. If your guest are going to dress up (and not dress in swimwear), you might consider a platform so they don’t sink along the tables and chairs. Not to mention you walking down the isle. Oh, and it’s a good idea to know how high the tide comes, it wouldn’t be so great for all of your preparations to be swept out to sea.
It’s a good idea to work with caterers and wedding planners who have some experience with beach weddings. You can plan for the event of your life or end up with a complete disaster, so careful planning is a must. You might also consider wedding insurance for the unforeseen (such as a hurricane?)
I can picture it now, taking your wedding vows as the sun begins to set, the palm trees swaying, the blue sea sparkling, such a picturesque fairytale wedding. So perfect in every way.
